Before the fight: This fight comes to viewers from the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida! Paige and Harumi have filled the venue up with 14,517 cheering fans in attendance on short notice. This fight is a standalone bout on ESPN+. Both fighters have had ample opportunity to take notice of each other.
During a Fox Sports South Florida radio interview, Paige garnered attention with her incendiary comments about Harumi. where she said, “I have a problem with Harumi trying to make a name for herself as a JMD fighter. There are only so many top slots to go around, love, and I’m not letting an older gravure model take my rightful top rank.
“I look forward to flattening her chest into pancakes.”
Harumi’s camp at Revolution Boxing heard the interview and translated it into Japanese. Harumi was so incensed that she made the following remarks to Tokyo Sports. “Paige Spiranac, you are an entitled brat! How dare you talk with no respect when you have no experience! I am a two-continent fighter, while you have a scarce two wins. I look forward to humbling you.”
Whether the intention or not, this war of words enticed so many fans to want to fight a war of fists. With the stage set, Paige Spiranac comes out first, flanked by her mentor Stephanie McMahon. She starts off wearing a sheer white robe. When the ring announcer calls Paige, her mentor disrobed her to reveal an all-white attire. Paige is wearing: an ample white boxing top with a regal purple heart over her right breast, a strict white pair of boxing shorts with “PAIGE” in purple cursive on her front belt, and off-white boxing boots.
Her opponent, Harumi Nemoto, arrives at the ring second. She walks down with her stablemate and off-again rival, Vivian Hsieh, in a blinding red robe. Her dramatic reveal lives up to the previous, with Harumi sporting: a bright garnet top that fits her massive chest perfectly, a dark brown pair of boxing shorts with miniature garnet suns on Harumi’s sides, and red boxing boots.
Both fighters touch gloves with reluctance in the center of the ring, and the fight is on!
Round 1: Harumi shows more life at the beginning of the round by mixing up stiff jabs and crosses to force her opponent back to the ropes. Paige’s face shows telltale signs of frustration by this arrangement. First, she doesn’t have the space to use her superior wingspan. Second, she has to play Harumi’s veteran game. The veteran tries to land power punches of her own, but she can’t land a clubbing blow because of Paige’s defense. Harumi wins the round narrow, carrying the scorecards 10-9.
Round 2: With a round break to collect her thoughts and listen to Stephanie, Paige returns fire in this round with some long jab and cross combinations. She manages to keep her distance from Harumi. Chiba’s finest now finds herself in a world of trouble, playing Paige’s game in the ring. Harumi also learns of Paige’s power firsthand, making her pain clear with sudden grunts when Paige lands hard fists on Harumi’s chest. Long-time boxing fans see how Paige learns to attack the breasts during a JMD brawl.
A key example is how Paige starts to step closer to land shocking hooks on Harumi’s breasts. The bell rings right when Paige smacks Harumi’s right breast into her left and almost tears her bra! Vivian’s face turns the color of lobsters when she sees this scene, as she screams herself hoarse at the ref for a supposed late blow. Paige eggs on the scene by raising her gloves in triumph. She wins the round by a large margin, taking the scoring lead 19-18.
Round 3: Harumi enters this round fired up like her corner woman Vivian! She’s trying to make Paige pay for her antics, and her opening punches strike paydirt, with quick strikes to Paige’s ample chest striking true. The former golfer is too surprised to defend with accuracy. Sea salt sweat starts dripping into her eyes, causing her to turtle on instinct. Harumi continues her confident streak as the round progresses, and she sees Paige’s guard as a challenge to shatter. The rookie manages to hold out against the BBU veteran, keeping her body back against a side of the ropes. She defends like a tortoise until the round ends. Harumi carries the round due to her offensive array and ties the score at 28-28.
Round 4: Both fighters arrive at the center of the ring ready to brawl. Paige and Harumi eschew defense in favor of attacks and dodges. Harumi aims to claim Paige’s breasts, using her experience in JMD brawls to focus on her prize. Paige tries for more traditional punches by striking at her opponent’s body from 45-degree angles. The Sunrise crowd gets on their feet as the tollbooth skirmish continues and stays upright once Paige takes the upper hand! Her fight strategy of wearing down Harumi via distanced punches and body shots pays off – Harumi can’t keep up with the Carnation fighter’s strikes. Out of desperation, Harumi throws two clubbing uppercuts toward Paige’s breasts…
…but both attacks whiff, and Ms. Spiranac counterpunches! With a parrying left jab to Harumi’s nose and a crackerjack right cross to Harumi’s left breast! The Revolution fighter’s knees buckle upon receiving that shot, and she coils on the mat, knees and forehead pressing down. Despite her pained cries, and gloves pounding the mat, Harumi does not have the energy to move. Paige Spiranac wins via KO in the fourth round!
After the fight: Vivian Hsieh helps her stablemate to her feet with grace and attempts to raise her arms in consolation. This grace lasts twenty seconds as the degloved victor shoves Vivian away and backhands Harumi back down to her knees. “You look so adorable in this position! I need to place you where you belong.” Vivian tries to come in to save her. Yet, Stephanie and the referee step between them to adhere to the JMD stipulation. Paige couldn’t help but give a snide remark to Vivian. “I’m booked for next month, b*tch, but you know my number if you want a piece of me!”
With impunity, Paige pulls Harumi by her braid into her sweaty boxing top, enveloping Harumi’s face into her ample jugs. Paige makes the measure last until Harumi is wholly unconscious, knocking her out a second time. She presses her prey down into the mat, open palms on her chest, until Harumi stares at the lights. Paige and Stephanie leave together, all smiling. The pair will now prepare for Stephanie’s upcoming JMDD fight against Alexandra Daddario.
